Asia Landscaping Limited was formed in 1981 and established in 1982. Under Hong Kong’s booming economy in 1980s, it rapidly expanded its contracting activities particularly in the field of planting, hydro-seeding, maintenance and supply of plant materials from its own nursery.
In year 2001, our company was awarded the Penny’s Bay Disney Project & completed the Disneyland project & Science Park in year 2005 &2015. All the plants were sourced and purchased from Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand.
In the same year, i.e. 2005, our company setup a subsidiary company in Macau registered as “Asia Landscaping (Macao) Ltd” in anticipation for development of the “Venetian Macau” project and other five star resort hotels which was its first step to expand it business in Macau, China.
China Prospects
“There is no direct impact arising from growth of the greater China market for our landscape works in Hong Kong. However, due to changes in economy of China, there led to development of large scale five-star resort hotels in Macau such as Venetian Macau Resort Hotel & Wynn Palace and also these created opportunities in Macau Market,” says C.S Lam, its director.
“We aim at to be the soft landscape contractor of choice in Hong Kong and Macau. Therefore, our goal is to provide excellent quality services to our customers and in turns to achieve greatest customer’s satisfaction.”
“In order to secure supply of trees & palms for construction and landscape maintenance projects, we have developed and maintained our own nursery in Zhongshan, China with areas over 400,000 m2 and more than 200 nursery workers to keep production daily maintenance which are also involved to landscape projects in China.”
Devoted to Quality
“Other than establishment of direct owned nursery, our company has also established Integrated Management System, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHSAS 18001 that comply with the requirements of their respective standard requirements. We are the first company ever in Hong Kong landscaping industry to be assessed and certified with all three (3) international standards simultaneously.
Due to ever-changing market demand of labour, machinery & plant materials, we need to cope with price fluctuations on raw materials, plant & equipment. Hence, we have established our direct owned nurseries in China to minimize direct effects quality and price fluctuation on plant materials. Also, we has a permanent adequate site workforce of horticulturists, technicians, well-experienced project managers/ site foremen/ safety supervisors, project coordinators and skilled workers as project team members which is supplemented with specialist sub-contract labour teams when necessary.”
Lam explains: “It is foreseeable that our clients look for continuous improvement on our service standard as keen competitions in the Hong Kong market. We provide wide ranges of products and services other than our construction works. For example, landscape maintenance services, & installation of green roof and green walls (other new products/ services) etc. In future, we aim at to be the soft landscape contractor of choice in Hong Kong and Macau.”
