An eye for detail, a keen sense of aesthetics and a great service attitude helped young entrepreneurs form ECO Design Group Ltd.

Cheng Ho Wing Leon, Management Director of ECO Design Group Ltd.

“Young people have their own histories and have gained certain experience from their workplaces. Believing that entrepreneurship is the best way to get rich, they all want to start up a business. This start-up idea came into mind at the right time, business candidates sharing the same ideology as mine timely appeared too! When such a good opportunity arrived, we seized and fully utilized it; hence came into being, ECO,” says Cheng Ho Wing Leon.

“All of us share a common goal – inventing kitchen cabinet designs with the principle that it must fit in with people’s everyday living. With high-quality accessories and our belief that success lies in attention to detail, we have created our own future upon overcoming hardships after hardships.”

Creativity in Product Quality

“Since inception, we worked to establish and register our own brand, co-operate with famous designers to invent professional designs and provide high-quality kitchen cabinets and furniture to add a taste of fashion to our customers’ interior building spaces and improve their quality of life,” he explains.

“The company has always maintained the integrity of business and the idea that our product must be relevant to daily living; over the years, we have continued to put resources in publicity and publications, related online platforms and other promotional channels. With those efforts, we have gained reputation in the market, have been recognized and accepted by customers. The company focuses on product quality and regularly travels to Europe or overseas to procure high-quality board materials. It also keeps itself abreast of market trends and consumer preferences to make appropriate business development goals.”

“The main challenge is to stay pragmatic and take every step with enthusiasm as well as caution. We have faith in the market resilience and its appetite for the new and creative.” – Cheng Ho Wing Leon

Market Faith

“Recently, Hong Kong has been hit by the economic slowdown and the general adverse community impact, which have changed consumers’ modes of consumption and lowered their incentives in making purchases. All these have added to the challenges faced by the retail sector in Hong Kong. In line with the changes, we have adjusted our development goals. Since the development of other regional markets becomes the main business trend for all enterprises, in recent years, our company has attempted the projects of establishing kitchen and furniture businesses in Mainland China and Macao.”

China Prospects

“The company has made itself ready for the China market in recent years. In early 2015, we had the honor to participate in the furniture project in a large real estate development in Mainland China, which marked a big step forward for the company’s infiltration into the Chinese market. In October 2016, the company opened its first brand showroom in Guangzhou, aiming to incorporate the company’s design concept and product quality into the domestic consumption model of Mainland China. We are confident in our slow but sure approach and we continue to innovate for our customers. The main challenge is to stay pragmatic and take every step with enthusiasm as well as caution. We have faith in the market resilience and its appetite for the new and creative. We will succeed.”
